Take a visual tour of the School of Metaphysics headquarters in Windyville, Mo. The campus is home to the Peace Dome, a structure dedicated to spreading universal peace. The dome was constructed in 2003 and is now the primary center for daily rituals and special events at the School of Metaphysics.

Diagnosed with Tourrette's syndrome, OCD and ADHD at the tender age of nine, Walter Hyrcaj has learned through discipline and the study of Metaphysics to transform his life in ways that neither doctors, nor himself could have ever imagined.

What is SOM?

Founded on the principals of peace, and living within the Universal Laws that govern creation in 1973, the School of Metaphysics became a 501 (c)(3) educational institute of higher learning for persons of all backgrounds looking for answers on how to live harmoniously and with deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Met·a·phys·ics a traditional branch of philosophy concerned with explaining the fundamental nature of being and the world that encompasses it.

"We call upon humanity to stand united, responding to the NEED for PEACE."

COLUMBIA—This past weekend, while most of us were asleep, Walter Hrycaj—director of the Columbia, Mo. School of Metaphysics—and his students were patiently waiting by the phone hoping for the opportunity to interpret the dreams of residents from all over central Missouri.

The Annual National Dream Hotline is one of the most widely anticipated events among students and teachers of the School of Metaphysics. Since it’s beginnings in 1989, the hotline has served as an opportunity to help answer people’s questions about their dreams.

While the primary purpose of the Hotline is to provide the schools surrounding community with a chance to have their questions answered, for Hyrcaj, the event means so much more.
